• Must have a Valid, Government-Issued Photo ID (Driver's License, Valid DMV ID, Passport, Military ID or Resident Alien Card) 
• Social Security Number
•  ORI Number 
•  OCA Number for Individuals fingerprinting for DCF or APD.
• *Payment for Fingerprinting Service or a receipt from your Employer or Regulatory Agency that payment has been made on line.  If payment is not made or verified at time of service, the Livescan Fingerprinting will not be administered.*

 Your Employer or Regulatory Agency will have this information. so we cannot be responsible for selecting the correct one for you. It is important to use the correct ORI Number when submitting fingerprints. It is the only way the Florida Dept of Law Enforcement will know where to send the results of your Level 2 Background Screening, we do not get any results.  If you do not provide an ORI number or if you provide an incorrect ORI number to the live scan provider, the requesting agency will not receive your fingerprint results. It is extremely important to use the correct ORI when having your fingerprints scanned. You must bring this with you. 

 The OCA is the Controlling Agency Identifier provided by DCF or APD to identify the provider requesting the background check. Without both the ORI and OCA numbers, FDLE cannot process the request.

 When a persons fingerprints are rejected, the report will read that the fingerprints were illegible and that they need to report back to the Livescan provider who printed them the first time. This is a very common occurrence.

There is no cost to being printed a second time.

Once this is reported, you will need to do the following:

•  The TCR number will need to be provided. This is a 20 digit code beginning with an E.  Your employer/volunteer program/licensing agency should have received the TCR code with the notification that they prints were rejected.
•  There is no cost to being printed a second time (Provided you come in the time period allowed by your regulatory agency. Otherwise the process will have to begin from the beginning, and fees will be applied)

 Fingerprinting process though a live scan machine rather than ink rolled on card. The fingerprints are submitted to the specific state agency in order to process your level 2 background check 

 The fingerprinting process should take anywhere between 5-10 minutes, depending on the image quality of your prints and the information you supply us with. 

1A Tampa Livescan does not receive nor provide copies of background check results. The information is sent electronically to your potential employer or Licensing Dept.  It is at their discretion to provide a copy for your records. 

 Jan.1, 2013 legislative changes to the background screening process resulted in the state. This increased their fees. So far, only AHCA and DOH have been affected by these new regulations. However, many more are anticipated to follow in the coming months. Please contact our office for costs at 813.347.4436.

 Typically, results are received within 3-5 business days 

 We do not issue refunds under any circumstances once the scan has been submitted. Please be certain that the information you provided is accurate as once it is received by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, it will be processed exactly as it was submitted and cannot be changed.
